On December 26, 2017, The Washington State Office of the Attorney General reported on the findings of their investigation of Children's Safety Bureau in a press statement titled, "AG FERGUSON FILES LAWSUIT AGAINST FAMILY FOR POCKETING HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DONATIONS MEANT FOR DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN."
