Through the experience of fly fishing in Montana, Warriors and Quiet Waters Foundation (WQW) is a catalyst for positive change in the lives of post-9/11 combat veterans.

WQW provides post-9/11 combat veterans with restorative fly-fishing experiences that directly address the top three most pressing issues that warrior participants face: mental and physical health, establishing a network of support now that they're separated from the military, and the transition to civilian life. All six-day programs are offered at no cost to participants and include ground and air transportation, home-cooked meals lovingly prepared by volunteers, and comfortable ADA-accessible accommodations. WQW can also subsidize the expense of a friend or family member to assist with in-home childcare duties for participants if needed. All participants are outfitted with a complete suite of fly-fishing gear to keep. WQW also offers programs specifically for female combat veterans, military caregivers and couples.
