Organization Mission
Boca Helping Hands (BHH) provides food, job training, access to healthcare and financial assistance to help individuals and families improve their quality of life and build financial stability. Operating since 1998, BHH serves lunch 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday) in East Boca Raton and a Friday Night Dinner in Lake Worth; distributes over 10,000 pantry bags of groceries monthly to qualified individuals; assists 1,600+ elementary students annually through BHH Backpacks, providing 6 meals and 2 snacks for 33 weekends during the school year; helps Job Mentoring clients via computer classes, resume building, and online job searches; offers vocational training in 11 career paths through Job Training programs and apprenticeships, including Home Health Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant, CDL (Commercial Driver's License), Customer Service Representative, IT Help Desk Technician, Medical Billing & Coding, Carpentry, Drafting, HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrician; provides limited emergency financial assistance for rent and utilities and referrals to other agencies through a Resource Center; helps working parents afford childcare expenses through the Children's Assistance Program (CAP); and expands healthcare access by distributing medical, dental, and behavioral care vouchers to qualifying uninsured individuals in Palm Beach County.
