St. Vincent de Paul Center's commitment to the poor touches the lives of over 2,000 children and adults annually across all programs. Founded in 1915, the Center's services are based on the Vincentian tradition of helping and empowering those most in need. St. Vincent's mission is to provide value-driven services to empower those most in need to reach their greatest potential. St. Vincent de Paul Center provides quality early childhood education and after-school programs for up to 458 children of Chicago's working families. As a support to children and families, social workers provide behavioral assessments, counseling, crisis intervention and referral services. Homeless Outreach serves the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless with food, clothing, case management, and referrals for employment, housing, recovery, and education programs. Senior Services provides case management and referral services to older adults at risk who need assistance with daily living.
