Established in 1978, WEAVE is the primary provider of crisis intervention services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Sacramento County. It is WEAVE's mission to bring an end to domestic violence and sexual assault in partnership with our community. WEAVE's vision is a community free of violence and abuse. At WEAVE we believe that crisis intervention services are only part of the solution. WEAVE serves women, men, teens, and children who are survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Services include 24-Hour Crisis Line, Counseling, Prevention and Education, Emergency Response, Legal Advocacy, and a confidential Safehouse program.

WEAVE embarked on an intensive process to examine privilege, bias, and intersectionality in its culture and operations As a result of the initial work, WEAVE has decided to educate all staff on CLAS standards and to integrate CLAS standards into all agency policies and procedures Also, as a result of the internal work being done, WEAVE now asks all employees to include preferred pronouns on communications and during introductions for trainings and outreach
