For over 60 years the camp ministry at Children's Bible Fellowship of New York has been a central part of our goal to make disciples of New York's forgotten fields. Every summer we run two vastly different programs on our beautiful 200 acre Carmel, New York campus. Camp Joy, the older of the two camps, caters to the needs of inner city children from New York City. Camp Hope specializes in meeting the needs of disabled campers from the New York metropolitan area. Children's Bible Fellowship also runs Project Genesis, a partnership program for individuals, church groups and students to share in the ministry God has given us.

Historical CN Advisories

03/01/2018-03/01/2020: Moderate Concern Advisory

In accordance with our policy for removing CN Advisories, Charity Navigator removed the Moderate Concern CN Advisory for the Children's Bible Fellowship of New York on March 1, 2020, because the CN Advisory has been in place for more than a year (since March 1, 2018).

Charity Navigator had published a Moderate Concern CN Advisory on Children's Bible Fellowship of New York because we became aware of the following information in connection with this charity:

  • On February 12, 2018, The Times Union reported that Children's Bible Fellowship of New York was, or may continue to be, a subject of a material diversion of assets in an article titled, "Wisconsin man charged in $100,000 theft from NY bible fellowship." For this reason, we have issued a Moderate Concern CN Advisory as the allegations have yet to be confirmed. For more information regarding this matter, please see The Times Union article.
