Since 1956 Sight Connection has been the only organization in Western WA transforming the lives of the visually impaired with independence-focused programs and services that remove the obstacles and challenges of daily living and achieving personal goals.
Funding is an investment in Sight Connection's wraparound menu of foundational services supporting self-reliance and self-sufficiency for the visually impaired living in Seattle. Credentialed and accredited specialists in low-vision, adjustment counseling, home assessments and rehabilitation, orientation and mobility and adaptive aids and assistive technology address all aspects of adapting to life with a visual disability. Collaboratively this team and their clients create a plan-of-care that meets individual goals and aspirations around aging/remaining in their home, remaining employed, social engagement, physical activity, travel, mainstream schooling and continuing with all activities that define their quality of life.
