Launched in 1994, the Geffen Playhouse is devoted to providing quality theater through a series of productions, workshops, seminars, play readings and lectures to the surrounding communities in the city of Los Angeles and the students of UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. The Geffen's mission is to enrich the cultural life of Greater Los Angeles and the UCLA community through plays and educational programs that inform, entertain, and inspire others. To this end, the Geffen Playhouse fosters an active relationship with the Los Angeles entertainment industry and offers a supportive, inviting environment for artists and theater professionals.
