Results Information

Program Name: Research
Problem

Diseases like triple-negative breast cancer have been very difficult to treat and doctors need to know more about its cause. Women diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer often face a difficult prognosis, and improvements in treatment options are needed now.

Strategy

Some of the brightest and most dedicated researchers and scientists can be found in MD Anderson's Moon Shots Program. One of their goals is to end triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Funding this program helps increase the biological understanding of TNBC, and it helps develop new targeted therapies and strategies for prevention and early detection.

IF:THEN

IF triple-negative breast cancer is difficult to treat......

THEN women who are diagnosed typically face a poor prognosis.

IF we direct funding towards triple-negative breast cancer research......

THEN triple-negative breast cancer researchers can help reduce deaths.

IF we partner with researchers like those with MD Anderson's Moon Shots Program......

THEN those researchers will be able to continue their work.

IF MD Anderson Moon Shots programs have already made progress......

THEN it is important to keep funding these projects that seek improvements in triple-negative breast cancer treatments.
