Through our pillars of Prevent, Restore and Bring Justice, we respond with creative strategies to end sex trafficking: PREVENT Training - We host annual training conferences to equip professionals and community members to identify signs of trafficking and respond to help sex trafficking victims. Shared Hope also offers a variety of e-learning courses, webinars, training guides and videos so agencies and organizations can receive comprehensive training anytime. Awareness- Through Chosen, our youth sex trafficking prevention film, and hundreds of trained Ambassadors of Hope—our army of volunteers—we spread awareness about sex trafficking and teach communities to defend their children. RESTORE Partners - We provide funding and technical assistance to partners in India, Nepal, Jamaica and the United States. We support: • safe homes • medical care • education • vocational training • therapy and outreach • intervention services JuST Response Council - We lead a group of over 30 organizations that collaborate on the best responses for juvenile sex trafficking victims based on the group’s combined research and experience in services, law and policy. Women's Investment Network - Job training and leadership development programs help women compete in the global market and achieve financial independence. International programs include cosmetology, jewelry and leather making, and print services. The U. S. program focuses on computer and administrative skills. BRING JUSTICE Center for Justice & Advocacy - The Center supports the development of federal and state policies and legislation. By providing research, expert testimony, coalition support, and advocacy initiatives we strengthen trafficking laws and build better policies to protect victims and prosecute traffickers and buyers. The Protected Innocence Challenge - Every state receives an annual Report Card that grades the strength of state laws in combating child sex trafficking and offers practical recommendations for improvement. Stop the Injustice Campaign - This campaign seeks to end the criminalization of child sex trafficking victims and develop protective responses to connect youth to trauma informed services.

Shared Hope operates out of two offices, one the Washington, DC area and our headquarters in Vancouver, Washington State. A staff of 26 help us reach our goals to prevent trafficking, restore and empower survivors and bring justice to perpetrators.

Our justice initiatives accelerate legislative and policy solutions to combat injustice and protect victims. We help strengthen trafficking laws and build better policies for protecting victims; we provide legal research, expert testimony, coalition support, and advocacy initiatives. Shared Hope is leading the way – in Congress, at the state level, and online – to ensure websites that facilitate sex trafficking are held accountable for their roles in this egregious crime. We’ve been battling the predators on multiple battlefronts. One of them: A loophole allowed traffickers to do business online. For years, we have pushed and fought for changes in federal laws that were being misinterpreted by the highest courts to allow these online facilitators immunity from prosecution in state courts. Now, finally we can report a great victory. The President signed a new law that allows online sex trafficking victims to pursue justice and give states crucial tools for combating this heinous crime. In short, these amendments ensure that websites knowingly facilitating the sale of sex trafficking victims can be held responsible for their crime. This legislation puts survivors first, giving them legal recourse when they’re trafficked online. Within hours of the bill passing the Senate, dozens of sites closed, including Craig’s List. Backpage. com was soon shut down by the FBI, and the owners charged in Texas.
