Founded in 1984, InterAction represents the largest coalition of U.S.-based international nongovernmental organizations collectively addressing the diverse needs of people living in the world's most neglected, vulnerable and fragile countries. Our nearly 200 member NGOs are focused on: education, healthcare, sustainable agriculture, food security, climate change, economic inclusion, post-conflict stability, protection, humanitarian law, water & sanitation, and disability rights. We advocate for those on the front lines of poverty, injustice and inequality as we endeavor to improve their lives and livelihoods, and empower their human potential. We also advocate for increased development and humanitarian budgets with government leaders and global funders. We showcase members' work and impacts - reported under the highest standards of transparency, monitoring and metrics - so that spending decisions for aid and relief by public and private sources are made responsibly and responsively.
