Boy Scouts of America, Cascade Pacific Council provides youth education and outdoor adventure programs for over 40,000 youth in 18 counties of Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington. The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness. For nearly a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun.

  • The New York Times and The Oregonian reported that a molestation lawsuit against the Boy Scouts of America, National Council and Boy Scouts of America, Cascade Pacific Council has been decided in favor of the plaintiff.  For further information, please see both The New York Times' and The Oregonian's news coverage.
  • In September of 2011, Reuters reported that four men filed a law suit against the Boy Scouts of America, Cascade Pacific Council and the Boy Scouts of America National Council over childhood sexual abuse they say they suffered at the hands of a pedophile knowingly appointed as their scoutmaster in the 1970s.

  • On July 24th, 2014, the law firm of O’Donnel Clark & Crew LLP announced that they filed a lawsuit against the Boy Scouts of America and the Cascade Pacific Council of the Boy Scouts on behalf of their client, whom they say, "was sexually assaulted" by a Boy Scout employee.
