Founded in 1976 by two Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in a small storefront on Rose Avenue in Venice, California, St. Joseph Center, has evolved into a multi-faceted social service agency that serves more than 6,500 low-income as well as homeless men, women, and children annually on Los Angeles' Westside and in the communities of South LA.
The Center programs and services are multi-faceted, strategically integrated, target a broad range of client populations, and are founded upon intensive, individualized care. Areas of focus include Outreach & Engagement, Housing, Mental Health, and Education & Vocational Training.
