Vision

The Tahirih Justice Center envisions a world in which all people can live in safety and with dignity.

Goals

1. 1.Our goal is to provide legal and social services to U.S. based immigrant survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, and human trafficking who qualify for humanitarian protection under the law. We will strive to maintain our current annual service of approximately 3,000 people.
2. 2.Tahirih’s staff will provide more than 10,000 frontline professionals and community members with information and resources each year. Our goal will be to share our understanding of the unique obstacles that immigrant survivors face in the wake of violence, along with essential tools needed to provide effective support.
3. 3.Tahirih’s policy team will apply learning from direct service staff across the organization to amplify immigrant survivors’ experiences. Remaining nonpartisan and focused on impact, we will work toward ensuring that U.S. laws and policies effectively protect all survivors from violence and exploitation. Our advocacy will also prioritize ending child marriage in the United States.
