Give the Gift of Charity: You Choose the Amount ... They Choose the Cause.

• Pick an amount to load on the Good Card (between $10 and $250) and your recipient selects the charity (or charities) to receive the donation.
• You can choose to send Good Cards via email, print-at-home or postal mail (allow 1-2 weeks for printing and delivery).
• If you choose the email option, your recipients will see a link back to Charity Navigator encouraging them to research their charity (or charities) of choice before making a donation. This ensures that the money you’ve contributed via the Good Card will go to a well-run, deserving charity.
• Your Good Card purchase is tax-deductable for the buyer, not the recipients. There is a $5, tax-deductible, fee per card in addition to the amount loaded on each card. 
• Charity Navigator is offering Good Cards through a partnership with Network for Good. Charity Navigator, a nonprofit itself, receives $2.50 from the purchase of each card to help support our efforts to rate charities. The cards cost $5 whether purchased through Charity Navigator’s site or from Network for Good directly.
• Good Cards expire 6 months after the purchase date.

GiveCard®
One Card, Two Gifts!

• The purchaser of the GiveCard gives two gifts in one; cash value to spend and a donation to a charity. Specifically, the GiveCard is a prepaid Visa® gift card that includes $5 (or more) that is set aside for the recipient to donate to a cause of their choice. The remainder of the card’s value can be spent by the recipient to buy exactly what they want.
• GiveCard recipients can select from more than 5,000 charities (listing provided by Charity Navigator).
• The card comes in pre-denominated values ($25 to $250) with $5 (or more) reserved for a charitable donation.
• The full donation portion of each GiveCard ($5 or more) is tax-deductable for the purchaser, not the recipient.
• The GiveCard can be personalized by adding the recipient's name, a message and even creating a Video eCard.
• GiveCards cost between $4.95 and $9.95 depending on card value. If you purchase GiveCards via Charity Navigator’s site, then Charity Navigator will receive $1 of this fee. This revenue helps Charity Navigator, a nonprofit itself, cover the expenses we incur in rating 5,500 charities. The fee is the same whether purchased through Charity Navigator’s site or from the GiveCard site directly.
• Donations made from GiveCards are subject to a processing fee of 20% of the donated value.
