The comment posted by Yellowman is misleading and most probably untrue. It is misleading in that it implies that any financial concern about a supporting organization reflects poorly on the organization supported. The International churches of Christ have offered generous financial support for HOPE ww for years. HOPE ww does not contribute any financial support for International church of Christ programs. To my knowledge, HOPE Worldwide has never been accused by anyone of misappropriating funds.
Secondly, I doubt the allegation is true in and of itself. The lack of verified specifics makes it appear that Yellowman is merely seeking to slander both HOPE Worldwide and the International churches of Christ.
I have personally supported HOPE ww and several other charities over the past 20 years. Comparing the impact of HOPE ww with that of the other charities I support makes me feel very confident that HOPE ww is making great use of my contributions.

This organization is linked to the International Churches of Christ. The International Churches of Christ have misappropriated funds from their congregations that were supposed to go to Missionary work and instead used the monies for local operating expenses without the permission of their members.

This organization is linked to the International Churches of Christ, even if not on paper. Its primary source of small donations and volunteers is the ICOC. I was part of the volunteer efforts on many occasions due to this link. But more important, look at the statistics for this charity: why do Bob & Pat Gempel together bring home more than $164,000 in income. Moreover, many of the medical supplies, etc. that HOPE WW donates have in fact been donated to them from other charities. You can do so much more good with your money than this organization.
