Mission
Founded in 1983, Angel Flight West is a volunteer-driven organization that arranges free, non-emergency air transportation in response to health care and other compelling human needs. With more than 1,400 private pilots flying thousands of missions annually, 2,000 active members, covering the thirteen western States including Alaska and Hawaii, Angel Flight West is in many ways the largest volunteer pilot organization in the U.S. Angel Flight West's pilots donate their time, talent, airplanes, fuel and operating expenses.
