Mission

Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio, formerly known as the County Cupboard, was established as a temporary hunger relief program in February 1982. Today, the Food Bank gathers and provides resources to hunger-relief agencies serving individuals and families in Crawford, Erie, Huron and Lorain counties. Currently, Second Harvest works in partnership with 120 member agencies from the very small to the very large to help those at-risk for hunger in our community. Some operate soup kitchens or food pantries. Others include shelters, and nonprofit organizations that serve meals or distribute food packages as a supplemental programs.
