Mission
The Visalia Rescue Mission is a Christian Social Service organization. It was established in 1981 to represent the Church to the Tulare and Kings County homeless. We also are here to minister to the formerly incarcerated and those with addictions. The specific objectives of the Ministry are as follows: to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ; to serve the total needs of the resident; to make disciples in Jesus Christ; to prepare residents for return to societal living and become assets to the community; to strengthen ties with area evangelical churches and give them opportunities to reach out to the needy on an on-going basis; and to cooperate with other agencies and organizations to alleviate hunger, homelessness and substance abuse.
