Mission

Founded in 1933, American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) works to advance the welfare of the American people by helping them protect their personal interests and those of the Nation. AIER's primary activities are conducting research and releasing publications, monitoring business cycle conditions, sponsoring a variety of fellowship programs, and organizing and hosting conferences and seminars on national economic scholars. Among the issues in which AIER has a special interest and has developed special expertise are Social Security, Medicare, retirement planning, estate planning, home ownership, life insurance, annuities, budgeting, investment scams and identity theft, property rights, sound monetary policy, globalization, and the economic aspects of immigration.
