Mission

Founded in 1979, the Cleveland Foodbank works to alleviate hunger by providing food and support to community organizations that feed the hungry. The Foodbank solicits donated food and nonfood products from food manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and community groups and distributes it to more than 450 agencies that serve the needy in Northeast Ohio. In the past year, the Cleveland Foodbank distributed 21.6 million pounds of food and other essential products to member agencies. This was enough food for our member agencies to serve over 16 million meals for individuals in need in our community.
