Mission

Founded in 1911, Connecticut College (CC) educates students to put the liberal arts into action as citizens in a global society. CC is a highly selective private liberal arts college with 1900 students from all over the country and the world. On an arboretum campus overlooking Long Island Sound, students and faculty create a vibrant social, cultural and intellectual community enriched by diverse perspectives. Rigorous academic standards, innovative and engaging faculty members, and a diverse classroom curriculum challenge students to reach their full intellectual potential. The College expects students to learn outside the classroom as well, through such activities as research, travel, and internships. CC offers more than 50 majors and has a student faculty ratio of 10:1.
