Mission
Founded in 1897 and opened officially in 1898, the Principia is an independent educational institution staffed by Christian Scientists. Principia serves Christian Scientists from infants through adults on two campuses in the St. Louis, Missouri, area. In recognition of its consistently high academic standards, Principia continues to earn outstanding evaluations of its primary, secondary, and higher education programs by regional and national accreditation associations. Principia also serves adult Christian Scientists each year through programs sponsored by Principia Clubs throughout the United States and in several other countries.
