Mission

Damon Runyon finds the most brilliant and promising scientists and provides them with funding to pursue innovative research that will eliminate cancer as a deadly disease. Since 1946, the Foundation has invested over $220 million in more than 3,200 of the best and brightest scientists in the nation. Our goals include: recruiting the best and brightest early career scientists into cancer research; accelerating the transition of scientific discoveries into new diagnostic tools and treatments; and enabling risk-taking on bold new ideas.
