Mission

The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) works with artists and art organizations to bring the work of the contemporary artist to the public. Through our core programs, Artist Fund, and fiscal sponsorship, we help individual creative artists in all disciplines realize their ambitions. NYFA turns passion into action by matching donor interest and values with creative people and programs, ensuring that contributions are used to the maximum benefit for artist and philanthropist alike. Over the past two years alone, NYFA distributed more than $13 million to 1,625 artists and artist-centered organizations in New York State. Millions more were served nationwide through our information resources.
