Mission
The Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF) is an independent organization whose purpose is to help the School District of Hillsborough County teachers and students excel in programs that are not funded by public tax revenues. The Foundation has raised $55 million since its inception in 1988. HEF invests community resources to help students achieve academic success. We provide teacher and school grants, scholarships, mentoring, teaching tools for Hillsborough Schools, recognition programs, and run Natures Classroom, an outdoor environmental education program for all public school sixth graders.
