Mission

Since 1949, The National Council on Economic Education (NCEE) has worked to help all students develop the real-life skills they need to succeed: to be able to think and choose as knowledgeable consumers, savers and investors, productive members of the workforce, and effective participants in a global economy. To this end, we develop high-quality, nationally-normed, standards-based instructional materials for K-12 teachers. Through our national Network of State Councils and over 200 university-based Centers for Economic Education, we offer teacher training workshops to over 50,000 teachers K-12 each year. The NCEE also advocates for the adoption of content standards, course requirements and testing nationwide.
