Mission

The mission of the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) is to find a home for every adoptable animal in its care and to prevent cruelty to animals. HSHV serves all of Washtenaw County, providing: food, shelter and care for stray and unwanted animals; adoption of companion animals; full service veterinary clinic, including low cost spay/neuter services; 24 hour rescue of injured animals; cruelty investigations; micro chipping; owner-requested euthanasia; harbor program; and community outreach and education. Our Shelter facility cares for lost, stray, and injured animals, as well as for animals surrendered by their owners. Our TNR Program (Trap, Neuter and Return) works with caretakers of feral cat colonies in Washtenaw County.
