Mission
Since 1990, Desire Street Ministries (DSM) roots have been planted in the Upper Ninth Ward of New Orleans, LA and we remain actively committed to redeveloping that neighborhood following Hurricane Katrina's devastation in August 2005. Today, we are grateful to God to also be able to replicate that work in other pockets of poverty through the United States. DSM's mission is to encourage and equip leaders to transform impoverished neighborhoods through spiritual and community development. By joining together people from all walks of life who are interested in redeeming the inner-city, we believe that we are marrying together something that represents the bigger Kingdom of God.
