Mission

Founded in 1904, United Way of Salt Lake's mission is to improve lives in Davis, Salt Lake, Summit, and Tooele counties by bringing people and resources together to solve our communities' most serious social problems. United Way of Salt Lake and our community partners are working to advance the common good by focusing on education, income, health, and safety net services. The foundation of our work is supporting a safety net to meet critical needs. Building on that foundation, we work toward long-term solutions in the areas of education, income, and health. These are the building blocks for a good life--a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health for a more productive life.
