Mission
Established in 1914, The Midnight Mission is one of the oldest continuously operating human services organizations in the Los Angeles region. Centered in the Skid Row area of downtown Los Angeles, The Midnight Mission offers a bridge to self-sufficiency for homeless people through counseling, education, training and job placement. We also make available the necessities of life to homeless people: food, shelter, clothing, personal hygiene needs, and medical care. The Mission serves homeless people with empathy and respect, without sermonizing. Additionally, we offer the 12-step approach to recovery, and provide for the homeless as an independent social service agency.
