Mission

The White House Project, a national, nonpartisan organization, aims to advance women's leadership in all communities and sectors, up to the U.S. presidency. When The White House Project was founded in 1998, there were very few women in the upper echelons of our government or at the helms of corporations. Nearly a decade later, the work pioneered by The White House Project has gradually changed the landscape of women's leadership, making women more accepted as leaders, and creating more viable women to fill leadership positions. By filling the leadership pipeline with a richly diverse, critical mass of women, we make American institutions, businesses and government truly representative.
