Mission
Founded in 1970, North Carolina Dance Theatre (NCDT) is the oldest professional ballet company in North Carolina. Today, NCDT has an established national reputation for artistic excellence and is widely regarded as one of Charlotte's premiere arts organizations. North Carolina Dance Theatre School of Dance opened its doors in 1993 and has an annual enrollment of over 600 students. The School offers the highest quality of dance instruction in ballet, modern and jazz technique to students ages three through adult. NCDT is among the finest mid-sized dance companies in the United States, and has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe.
