Mission
Originally called the Uganda Children's Charity Foundation, Children of Uganda was founded in 1995 to support and empower hundreds of orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda to lead successful and productive lives. Currently, Children of Uganda supports four main programs in Uganda: the Educational Support Program, the Family Empowerment Program, the Reproductive Health/HIV/AIDS Program and the Information, Education, Communication and Advocacy Program. Children of Uganda is on the ground and working with local non-governmental organizations and community groups. We are providing the necessities of life today - shelter, food, clothing, education, and medical care if needed. We are also looking forward and ensuring the children in our care have the life skills necessary to achieve success in their future.
