Mission
Beginning in 1914 as the United Charities Campaign, United Way of East Central Iowa is the trusted leader and catalyst for envisioning and creating positive community change. Our mission is to unite the caring power of communities to invest in effective solutions that improve people's lives. United Way of East Central Iowa focuses investments and resources in three main areas: children and youth; families; and basic needs. In 2007 we raised over $10 million and supported 32 agencies which represent 67 human service programs.
