Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month
Charities committed to the advancement of research and care for colon cancer and rectal cancer patients.
Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer diagnosed in both men and women in the United States, according to the American Cancer Society, and it is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men and women. Although the number of individuals being diagnosed with colon or rectal cancer has dropped overall because of increased screening and lifestyle changes, cases of colorectal cancer have increased in adults under the age of 50, while decreasing in older adults.
The American Cancer Society predicts that in 2023, colorectal cancer is expected to cause over 52,000 deaths. The nonprofits on this page have been identified by Charity Navigator as engaged in research and funding. Consider supporting these highly rated charities.
