    Veterans are brave individuals that served in any of the five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard). These individuals fought for our freedoms and provided services and aid to those in need.

     

    In November, we honor the sacrifices our military veterans have made. Originally called Armistice Day, Veterans Day falls on the anniversary of World War I. The holiday was renamed in 1954 to honor the service of all military members. 

     

    Each year, Americans donate more than $2.5 billion annually to over 40,000 American charities with military-related missions.
