The Gulf Coast recently experienced devastating tornadoes, significantly impacting northern and central Florida and southern Alabama. Homes were destroyed, trailers overturned, and communities were left in a state of emergency. The storms led to nearly 1 million power outages at their peak across the country's eastern half, with the mid-Atlantic region being the most brutal hit. The tornado that hit Panama City is being noted as the strongest January tornado on record in Florida, preliminarily rated as an EF-3 with winds between 136 and 165 mph.
