Atlanta Police Foundation

Mission

The Atlanta Police Foundation exists to make Atlanta the safest and most inviting city for all its residents, workers and visitors. We aim to promote excellence in police services, mobilize the community to support the Atlanta Police Department and engage in public safety, and provide programs considered to have the most immediate impact on crime prevention and emergency preparedness.

Vision

Goals

1.Enhanced Diversion Programs: Introduce a Re-entry Pilot Program in partnerships with Metro Regional Youth Detention Center. This program is designed to help court-involved youth reintegrate into society after being released from juvenile detention centers.
2.Program Expansion: The fourth @Promise Center will open on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in 2026, supported by a transformative $3.5M donation from QuikTrip, a valued long-time partner of the Atlanta Police Foundation. This center will serve youth in the heart of Westside Atlanta.
3.Cadet/ Explorer Program: This program will introduce young people ages 16-20 to career pathways in public safety, providing hands-on experience and insight into becoming a recruit with the Atlanta Police Department or Atlanta Fire Rescue.
