Community First is a community-based, non-profit organization whose mission is to strengthen the community through collaborative partnerships utilizing education, training, and support services, to transform the social and environmental conditions that foster addiction, crime, and violence, to promote healthy lifestyles, and to enable our youth to grow to their greatest potential.
Community First seeks to bring our community together by providing access to mental and physical health, education, social, and community services. We also seek to create a strong, capable generation of youth by providing an afterschool program, the Delta Youth Afterschool Club, which provides homework help, activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM), drug/alcohol/suicide prevention trainings, life skills and resiliency classes, leadership opportunities, and enrichment activities to enable youth to grow up to become successful, contributing adults.
