Mission

The Sanibel Historical Museum and Village is organized for educational purposes: - to foster an understanding and appreciation of the History of Sanibel Island through research, displays, exhibits, programs, tours adn operations fo the Sanibel Historical Museum and Village. - to act as a resource for various cultural, educational organizations and institutions by providing speakers, programs and information on Sanibel's history, historic buildings, sites and structures. - to encourage the preservation, maintenance and compatible reuse of historic resources.
