Adaptability Practices
30 out of 30 points
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year
In a year of post-COVID, we had to adapt to new challenges. Throughout all of our programs, we've seen a large increase in all risk measuraments and behaviours, such as: alchohol & drug addictions, street-wandering, sexual abuses and vandilism. Furthermore, we have recognized an increase in mental issues: depression, lonliness, and even suicidal tendencies.
In order to face these chellenges we made a few steps and adaptions:
1. Strengthening Personal Mentoring: We continued our routine activities, with an emphasize on personal mentoring which will give the children and youth emotional and academic support, that provides a healthy relationship, a role model and a safe place.
2. Group Sessions: Most of our weekly peer group sessions have been transformed to proffesional ongoing workshops that deal with the daily challenges, with an emphasize on anxiety and stress.
3. Model Development: We have developed a special model that includes: (a) recognition of the different risky behaviour, (b) the necessity measurments and (c) methods of immidiate actions for each behavior.
Attached is a letter we've received from Former President of Israel, Mr. Reuven Rivlin following our activity during the pandemic. We've learned to adapt quickly and effectively to all changes that may come upon us.
