Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue

Mission

The mission of Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue (DVGRR) is to respond to unwanted, abused, neglected or puppy mill survivor golden retrievers and to provide veterinary care and rehabilitation until a suitable adoptive home is found through a stringent application process. DVGRR provides education relating to the breed as well as education to the general public about responsible dog ownership. Since 1993, Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue has successfully placed over 7,300 Golden Retrievers into new homes throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states.

Vision

Working together as a dedicated team to give every dog in our program… the life they deserve!

Goals

1.We implemented an Intern Program for High School and College students studying in the areas of animal behavior, training, and vet tech programs. Interns will assist with dog training, and food prep.
2.We now have more volunteers helping with our rehabilitation program to acclimate puppy mill survivor dogs to living in a home environment. This allows them to be more adoptable.
3.Our Board of Directors will be holding a Strategic Planning Session in 2026. This is to ensure the continued growth of the organization.
