Mission

Global Smile Foundation’s mission is to improve the lives of underserved patients born with cleft lip and palate by providing comprehensive, multidisciplinary care across the full continuum of treatment; advancing research that improves functional and psychosocial outcomes; and strengthening the global cleft community through education, training, and sustainable capacity building for local providers.

Vision

A world where every child born with a cleft receives safe surgery and comprehensive care, supported by skilled local providers and strong health systems worldwide.

Goals

1.Strengthen Global Smile Foundation’s comprehensive cleft care programs in low- and middle-income countries by working alongside local surgical teams to refine care delivery, provide advanced mentorship tailored to provider expertise, and expand sustainable, year-round multidisciplinary care for patients and families.
2.Expand Global Smile Foundation’s global education and training programs by bringing Comprehensive Cleft Care Workshops (CCCW) to new regions and equipping multidisciplinary providers through hands-on and simulation-based training to improve cleft care for patients in underserved communities worldwide.
3.Strengthen Global Smile Foundation’s operational systems, governance, and program infrastructure to support sustainable growth, enhance program effectiveness, and ensure long-term impact in advancing cleft care worldwide.
