Vision

CCC aims to inspire a sense of ownership and responsibility among community members for their local environment. By highlighting the importance and beauty of native landscapes, CCC encourages people to connect with and take pride in their surroundings. The organization promotes the active care and management of natural resources. This includes educating and empowering individuals to adopt sustainable practices, such as planting native species, managing invasive plants, and restoring local ecosystems. CCC works on projects that improve the quality and health of natural habitats. These projects help support biodiversity, ensure the survival of native plant and animal species, and provide cleaner air and water. By addressing pollution, erosion, and the decline of the oyster population, CCC contributes to cleaner water systems that are safe for both human recreation (swimming, boating) and wildlife (fish, aquatic plants).

Goals

1. 1.Obtain grant money for erosion control on a much used path in the community
2. 2.Control bamboo in an area needed for boat storage of summer day camp
3. 3.COntinue improving two areas renovated over the last several years
