LifeBuilders adapted quickly to the tremendous change forced upon our community by COVID. We transitioned seamlessly to complete digital and remote operations, continuing to serve our clients without missing a beat. Our clients are low wage earners, living from paycheck to paycheck. They were the first ones to lose their jobs during the COVID shutdown. When COVID forced us to cancel our major fundraiser, our amazing community provided us with grant funds to assist our hard-hit clients with rent and utilities. We focused on quickly disbursing these funds to help our clients keep their homes and keep the lights on. As we continue to adapt to the long-term economic effects of COVID, we look back on the silver lining: seeing our community rapidly come together and quickly respond to the need. We are all continuing to adapt, and we will emerge stronger than ever.
