Fairgate Farm’s mission is to increase access to locally grown produce and to strengthen the community by celebrating healthy food through gardening, educational and harvest-related initiatives. The Farm provides volunteer and educational opportunities to individuals, schools, companies, and community organizations to connect residents with their local food system, promote environmental stewardship, and build community cohesion. Our vision is that all Stamford people have access to healthful local foods, regardless of income, race, gender expression, religion, or other identities. We acknowledge barriers that historically underserved populations face and we work to combat these barriers through equitable programming.

To receive a star rating, a charity must be a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) public charity. Private foundations, consolidated subsidiaries, and organizations with revoked or inactive IRS status are not eligible for a rating.
Eligible charities must also meet the following criteria:
