Mission

Making Things Right invites and equips Christians toward a reformed Christian response to LGBTQ+ people - one that leads with compassion and repentance, and promotes healing and reconciliation. We do that via advocacy, events, thought-leadership, resources, and synergistic partnerships. Our work is based on a counter-cultural, hopeful narrative that behind-the-scenes many Christians and church leaders are moving toward a more compassionate and inclusive posture toward LGBTQ+ people.

Vision

The vision for Making Things Right is an increasingly reformed Christian response to LGBTQ+ people, exhibited by compassion, repentance, restitution, and welcoming LGBTQ+ people on fully equal terms.

Goals

1.Provide an "On Ramp": Contrary to popular opinion, many conservative Christians and churches want to move toward a more inclusive posture. In our work, we relate to the struggle of reconciling long-held beliefs with new stirrings of compassion toward the LGBTQ+ community, remembering our own journeys of reexamination.
2.Defend People Over Positions: We remain theologically neutral and respectful of differing positions regarding sexuality and gender. In place of debate, we elevate the conversation toward our core Christian mandate: Loving God, loving our neighbors. This helps us build new bridges, and advance more productive dialogue and action.
3.Model Unity & Synergy: We love collaborating across theological aisles. We intentionally build working relationships with a diversity of individuals and organizations, all sharing a common conviction to advance healing, reconciliation, and inclusion among our LGBTQ+ neighbors.
