We were registered in February 2025 to address the lack of education, educational opportunities and opportunities in general in rural Guatemala where 80% of the population lives below the country's poverty line of $2 USD per day. Most families cannot afford to allow their children to continue education past the 6th grade due to increases in costs and due to the need for that child to start working to help support the family. We encourage education through reading programs, including a children's library we opened in 2025. We feel that a love of reading is the basis for the desire to continue schooling. Parents are educated to the long term benefits of allowing their children to continue their education. We provide scholarships to deserving and promising students to continue their education through college graduation. We offer English language programs because we know that being able to speak English in Guatemala opens doors to better paying jobs. We currently operate and serve the community of Chichicastenango. But we plan to expand to other areas of the country in the future.
