Mission

Land conservation, education, and restoration. The organization continued restoration projects on owned lands, and continued restoration activities on an historic house owned by the Nature Conservancy. We also purchased five parcels of land totaling 111 acres and accepted the donation of three additional properties totaling 15 acres and placed them into permanent conservation. Finally, in cooperation with another organization, we hosted the sixth Carrizo Colloquium, a conference dedicated to providing information to interested parties about research projects being carried out in the Carrizo Plain area. The conference was held in October 2024, and was attended by about 70 persons.
